The Botany Bay Hotel in Broadstairs is recruiting for part time bar and restaurant staff for the busy summer season. Located on the magnificent cliff top at Kingsgate, we combine the friendly atmosphere of a local pub with all the comforts of a modern hotel and restaurant.

We are looking for team members that can work between 15 and 30 hours a week to include some evenings, weekends and bank holidays up until September 2016.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for enthusiastic front of house staff that can share our passion for delivering an excellent level of customer service on the front line together with great food and drink.

Requirements:

  • Former experience of working in a bar or restaurant is advantageous but full training will be provided.
  • First class customer service skills from any sector.
  • Enthusiam and a great attitude are key.
  • You must be flexible in terms of the working hours required of you.
  • You must be over eighteen in order to serve alcohol.
  • We need  great team players.
  • You must be reliable and trustworthy.

Assistant Hotel Manager - (Live out)

Experienced and dedicated Assistant Manager required

Ahead of our busy spring and summer seasons ahead, the Botany Bay Hotel in Broadstairs is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team.
 
Part of the Shepherd Neame Group of 54 managed pubs, restaurant and hotels in the South East; the Botany Bay boasts a magnificent cliff top location in Kingsgate and it combines the friendly atmosphere of a local pub and restaurant together with all the comforts of a modern hotel and event venue.

This role has been newly created in line with business demand, and it will see you working on a full time and permanent basis to include evenings and weekends.
 
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the Botany Bay.
  • You will undertake duty manager shifts and will oversee the daily operations in the absence of the GM and Deputy Manager.
  • You will ensure first class customer service delivery and quality standards are maintained and that customer expectations are met.
  • Supporting with the recruitment, training, development and daily management of our team of staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in high volume pubs, restaurants or hotels at an assistant or supervisory level.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to engage, train and motivate teams of staff.
  • First class customer service delivery and quality standards.
  • Ideally you will be conversant in all aspects of cellar management, but full training will be provided.
  • This is a full time and permanent role that will see you working shift patterns to include evenings and weekends, so you must be flexible in terms of the hours required of you.
